Title: Employment Counsellor (Employment Facilitator) (NOC: 4213)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $28,427.00 to $34,916.00 Yearly for 35 hours per week, As per collective agreement, Group Insurance Benefits, Pension Plan Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Some university, Completion of university
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Establishment Experience: Private employment service agency, Community-based agency
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Word processing, Spreadsheet, Database
Specific Skills: Interview clients to obtain employment history, educational background and career goals, Assist clients to develop job readiness skills and job search strategies, Collect labour market information for clients regarding job openings and entry and skill requirements, Teach clients how to write resumes and prepare for job interviews, Counsel workers on work, and career-related issues
Additional Skills: Perform administrative tasks, Use computer applications
Security and Safety: Criminal record check
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail, Large workload
Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning
