Program Description TWO PART program
Program Start date Monday, April 19, 2010
PART I – 4-week pre-training program - UNPAID
Full days (9:30-4:00) Monday to Friday
This pre-training will provide an orientation to business language, culture, essential skills and other topics related to working as a Customer Service Representative in Canadian banks. A certificate of completion will be provided.
PART II – 3-month work experience in a Bank Branch – paid
Full time (37.5 hours per week as scheduled - $13.00 an hour)
The work experience will provide on-the-job training and experience as a Customer Service Representative in a Canadian bank. At the end of the work experience, the participants will receive informal and formal feedback and can use the experience as part of a resume. There is NO GUARANTEE OF JOBS; however, should bank positions become available, program participants are welcome to apply.
This program is supported by TD Canada Trust, Bank of Montreal and the Royal Bank of Canada in partnership with immigrant serving employment providers and Manitoba Labour and Immigration. The pre-training program is funded by the Manitoba Immigrant Integration Program.
