REQUIRED: 3-RSVP Participants; Bike; Helmet; Water.
RECOMMENDED: Gloves.
OPTIONAL: Home Shuttle Service (FREE on the way; otherwise $0.50/KM).
We'll meet around 6 PM at Woodhaven Park Community Club (200 Glendale Blvd) parking lot and bike at 6:15 PM.
POINTS OF INTEREST:
T-33 Plane: This plane commemorates the Golden Centennaires, an aerobatic team who flew in honor of Winnipeg’s Centennial, 1967.
Grant’s Old Mill: The mill provides a glimpse of a real working watermill and is open to the public in the spring / summer / fall seasons.
Fish Ladder: Located across from Grant’s Old Mill, this structure is designed to allow fish to migrate upstream.
Tall Grass Prairie: This endangered eco system contains native grasses and herbaceous plants, e.g. Big Bluestem and Purple Prairie Clover.
Living Prairie Museum: 13-hectare of tall grass prairie, home to more than 150 different grass and wildflower species and an array of prairie wildlife.
