The Centennial trail cuts through Pre-Cambrian Boreal Shield country offering stunning views and a true wilderness experience.
The trail was conceived by Vern “Skink” Dutton, and further developed by the Scouts and Girl Guides in honor of Manitoba’s 100th anniversary of becoming a province.
This trail is a section of The Great Trail (Trans Canada Trail) initiated in 1992 as a project to celebrate Canada’s 125th years. It is the world’s longest network of multi-use recreational trails stretching 23,000 kilometers from the Atlantic to the Pacific to the Arctic Oceans.
